Renouncing the Flower

Women are more than the floral metaphors used to describe their characters. In this found footage project, I chose to include artists and activists like Maya Deren, Marina Abramović, Lady Gaga, Gloria Anzaldúa, Nina Simone and my mother to accentuate the demeaning stereotypes set upon women in patriarchal societies.
